ONSLAUGHT Putting Finishing Touches On New Album
October 15, 2006Vocalist Sy Keeler of the reformed lineup of the classic U.K. thrash outfit ONSLAUGHT has sent the following update to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:
"ONSLAUGHT are back in Backstage studios [in Derbyshire, England] with Mr. Sneap [producer Andy Sneap] (on Monday 16th October) to put finishing touches to the Sneapmeister's already humungous mix of 'Killing Peace' [the new ONSLAUGHT album]. By Wednesday it'll be done and dusted, but you'll have to wait a few weeks to hear it. First chance to hear will be thro' our MySpace site, www.myspace.com/onslaughtuk, where we'll be streaming it for a very limited period, so you'll have to join us at MySpace.
"You can catch ONSLAUGHT live at the Barfly in Birmingham on Halloween, 30th October, then at the Keep it True VII festival in Germany on November 5th, which sold out way back in May of this year. More dates will be confirmed soon, before ONSLAUGHT visit in Greece for the first time. ONSLAUGHT also triumphed at Bloodstock festival in Derby in September. A review can be viewed at www.roomthirteen.com or thro' our web site.
"ONSLAUGHT say a huge thanks to the Bloodstock organisation."
ONSLAUGHT's fourth studio album, "Killing Peace", is scheduled for release in February via Candlelight Records. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Destroyer of Worlds", "Pain", "Tested to Destruction", "Burn", "Shock and Awe", "Prayer for the Dead", "Twisted Jesus", and "Killing Peace". The band's current lineup includes Keeler, Nige Rockett (guitars),Steve Grice (drums),James Hinder (bass) and the group's latest addition, guitarist Alan Jordan (ex-MIRROR MIRROR, FRANKENSTEIN).
ONSLAUGHT recorded three albums in the late 1980s — including the underrated "In Search of Sanity" (1989, Polydor),featuring ex-GRIM REAPER frontman Steve Grimmett — before calling it a day.
